My debut monograph, Spiritualism in Nineteenth-Century New Orleans: The Life and Times of Henry Louis Rey, has recently been released by the University Press of Mississippi (January 2017).

I will be presenting for the Louisiana Landmarks Society on Wednesday, December 12 at 6 pm. The lecture is free and open to the public. I will sell and sign books after the lecture. I hope to see you there.

A native of New Orleans, Melissa Daggett is an instructor of United States history at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas

Hi Classmates: I will be presenting and signing my book, "Spiritualism in Nineteenth-Century New Orleans: The Life and Times of Henry Louis Rey (UPM, 2017) at Octavia Books on Thursday, June 28 at 6 pm. The book is now out in paperback. I hope to see you there. I will also be at Barnes and Noble at the Metairie store on Saturday, June 30 at 2 pm.

My book, Spiritualism in Nineteenth Century-New Orleans: The Life and Times of Henry Louis Rey (UPM 2017) is now out in paperback on amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and the University Press of Mississippi website. Octavia Books will have a book event on June 28, 2018 at 6 pm.
