Bio: Professor Daggett's work has appeared in Louisiana History and Louisiana Cultural Vistas, and she was a speaker for the internationally-known Tennessee Williams/New Orleans Literary Festival in March 2017 as well as the Organization of American Historians in April 2017 and the Louisiana Book Festival on October 28, 2017 in Baton Rouge. A native of New Orleans, Melissa Daggett is an instructor of United States history at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas
Hi Classmates: I will be presenting and signing my book, "Spiritualism in Nineteenth-Century New Orleans: The Life and Times of Henry Louis Rey (UPM, 2017) at Octavia Books on Thursday, June 28 at 6 pm. The book is now out in paperback. I hope to see you there. I will also be at Barnes and Noble at the Metairie store on Saturday, June 30 at 2 pm.

My book, Spiritualism in Nineteenth Century-New Orleans: The Life and Times of Henry Louis Rey (UPM 2017) is now out in paperback on amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and the University Press of Mississippi website. Octavia Books will have a book event on June 28, 2018 at 6 pm.

I will present Spiritualism in Nineteenth-Century New Orleans: The Life and Times of Henry Louis Rey (UPM 2017). I will also be signing books at the Barnes & Noble Book Tent from 11:45-12:30.

I will be a featured author at the Louisiana Book Festival on October 28, 2017 in Baton Rouge http://louisianabookfestival.org/Author_Daggett.html
My book is now in a Kindle edition, and the UPM will published a paperback edition in Spring 2018. I have just started on an exciting historical research topic.
